Overview
AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) specialists detect, investigate, and report suspicious financial transactions. Their role has become central to banking, fintech, broking, and crypto with growing regulatory enforcement under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act), FATCA, CRS, and FATF guidelines. Indian banks and fintechs have built large AML/KYC teams — particularly post the FATF mutual evaluation that flagged Indian compliance gaps. Major GCC employers (JP Morgan India, Goldman Sachs India, HSBC India, Standard Chartered India) run global AML hubs from Indian metros.
