Overview
Business analysts (BAs) sit between business stakeholders and technology teams to translate business requirements into product specifications. They are crucial in IT services (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant), enterprise software, and increasingly in Indian SaaS startups. The role is the gateway into product management for many graduates without an MBA.

Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews; build user stories and acceptance criteria; create process maps (BPMN); conduct gap analyses between current and target state; partner with product managers and engineers on solution design; manage UAT (User Acceptance Testing); maintain product documentation; track and report on KPIs.
