Solutions Architect

Overview

Solutions architects design end-to-end technical architectures for enterprise systems and cloud migrations. They translate business requirements into multi-system blueprints covering compute, storage, networking, security, integration, and cost. The role has grown sharply with cloud adoption across Indian enterprises (banks, telcos, manufacturing) and at hyperscaler partners. AWS, Azure, and GCP all run Indian solutions architect academies, and demand at consulting firms (Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys) plus end-customer enterprises is sustained at the very-high level.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Gather requirements from business and technical stakeholders; design architectures using AWS / Azure / GCP services; develop reference architectures and design documents; estimate cloud costs and TCO; conduct architecture reviews and security assessments; lead proof-of-concept builds; mentor engineering teams on best practices; collaborate with sales on customer pitches and SOWs.
