Overview
HR managers and HR business partners (HRBPs) handle the people side of organisations: hiring, performance management, compensation, employee relations, learning, and culture. Indian IT services (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCLTech), GCCs (Microsoft, Google, JP Morgan, Walmart Global Tech), and consumer companies (Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Reliance) hire heavily. The role has evolved from administrative HR to strategic business partnering with deep analytics and OD design responsibilities. Talent shortages in tech have made strategic HR a board-level priority.
