Overview
Port Managers oversee operations at India's major and minor ports — handling vessel berthing, cargo loading and discharge, customs coordination, security, infrastructure maintenance, and revenue generation. India's port sector handles 95% of India's external trade by volume. Major Port Trusts (Mumbai, JNPT, Chennai, Cochin, Kandla, Vishakhapatnam, Paradip, etc.) plus the rapidly growing private port operators (Adani Ports & SEZ, JSW Infrastructure) drive demand. The Maritime India Vision 2030 plans to double port capacity, creating sustained hiring opportunity.
