AIIMS Bibinagar was established in 2019 under Phase-VII of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, mentored by JIPMER Puducherry, on a 202-acre site in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana. It is the only brownfield AIIMS among the newer institutes, all of which are otherwise built on greenfield sites.
The institute's current seat matrix runs 100 MBBS seats, 30 B.Sc (Hons) Nursing seats, 18 MD seats, and 7 MS seats, alongside further postgraduate and paramedical intake as departments come online with the expanding campus.
MBBS admission runs through NEET-UG followed by centralised counselling via the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in. Postgraduate MD/MS admission follows the standard AIIMS pattern through INI-CET.
Aggregator sources report a NAAC A+ grade, but this could not be confirmed against a primary NAAC certificate and is treated as unconfirmed. The institute does not appear among the ranked institutes in the official NIRF 2025 Medical category results.
Programs at AIIMS Bibinagar are approved by UGC — so your degree is recognised by employers, PSUs, and higher-education institutions across India and abroad.
With 300 students and 80 faculty members (~3.8:1 ratio), the campus offers close mentorship alongside broad peer-learning and student-activity opportunities.
Being located in Hyderabad, Telangana gives students access to internships, industry guest lectures, and a well-connected transport network — an advantage for placements and exposure.
