The International Institute of Information Technology Bhubaneswar (IIIT-BH) is a state university established by the Government of Odisha. It was registered as a society in November 2006 and conferred university status by the Government of Odisha in January 2014. The 34-acre fully residential campus is located at Gothapatna, Malipada, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
IIIT-BH is ranked in the NIRF 2025 Engineering band 201-250 and holds NBA accreditation for its B.Tech programmes. It offers B.Tech in four branches (CSE, IT, ETC, EEE), M.Tech in two specializations (CSE, and VLSI Design and Signal Processing), and a PhD programme across seven departments. Admission to B.Tech follows a dual-track: 50% of seats are filled through JoSAA (JEE Main-based, Open to All India), and the remaining 50% go to Odisha state category candidates through institute-run counselling. The 2024-25 placement batch saw 214 students placed out of 334 in the batch, with a highest package of Rs 56.2 LPA and a median of Rs 7.5 LPA.
