Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore is a private deemed medical college on Light House Hill Road in Mangaluru, Karnataka. It traces its origin to 1953, when T.M.A. Pai founded Kasturba Medical College as India's first medical college built on a public-private partnership model, with the pre-clinical section at Manipal and clinical training based in Mangalore at the government Wenlock and Lady Goschen hospitals. The first batch of Mangalore clinical students joined in 1955, and the Mangalore campus became an independent constituent college in 1977.
Today KMC Mangalore is one of two Kasturba Medical Colleges run as constituent units of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a deemed-to-be university and Institution of Eminence.
