Overview
Art Directors lead the visual side of advertising campaigns — partnering with copywriters to translate creative briefs into visual concepts, art-directing photo shoots, supervising designers, illustrators and animators, and presenting work to clients. The role is the visual half of the iconic 'creative team' partnership with copywriters in advertising. Major Indian agencies (Ogilvy, JWT, Lowe Lintas, Wieden+Kennedy India, Leo Burnett, BBH, McCann, FCB Ulka) have produced world-class campaigns from Art Director-Copywriter teams. The career arc rises to Creative Director and ultimately Chief Creative Officer roles at top agencies.
