Overview
Internal auditors evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control processes at organisations. The function has grown sharply post-Companies Act 2013 (which mandates internal audit for many companies) and SEBI LODR governance reforms. Demand at Big 4 internal audit practices, large corporate internal audit departments (Reliance, Tata, ICICI, HDFC, Mahindra), and the IIA-affiliated profession is steady-to-High. CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is the dominant global credential.
