Central University of Haryana

Central University of Haryana was established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, 2009, one of fifteen new Central Universities set up during the Eleventh Five Year Plan and fully funded by the UGC. Its 484-acre permanent campus is at Jant-Pali villages, Mahendragarh district, and the university also maintains a transit office in Gurugram.

Programmes offered

The university's academic offerings sit under the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences, Basic Sciences, Law, Business and Management Studies, Engineering and Technology, Education, and Life-long Learning. Departments span English, Hindi, History and Archaeology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Sciences and Information Technology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Astrophysics, and Statistics.

Further departments cover Law, Management Studies, Economics, Commerce, Tourism and Hotel Management, Printing and Packaging Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Teacher Education, alongside a School of Life-long Learning offering vocational B.Voc programmes in biomedical sciences, industrial waste management, and retail and logistics management. Admission runs across undergraduate, postgraduate, PG-integrated, and doctoral levels.

Admissions

Undergraduate admission runs through CUET-UG and postgraduate admission through CUET-PG, both administered by NTA, with additional supernumerary and special-drive admission routes for postgraduate programmes advertised separately by the university.

Rankings

NAAC Grade A accreditation, CGPA 3.08, Second Cycle, was certified 12 August 2023 and remains valid through 11 August 2028. The university participated in NIRF 2025 across Overall, Engineering, and Innovation categories but did not place in any published rank band that year; its most recent ranked result was the University 151-200 band in NIRF 2022.
