Overview
Music Composers and Film Music Directors compose original music for films, OTT series, advertising, theatre, and gaming. Day-to-day responsibilities
Compose original songs (melody, arrangement, mood) based on director / producer brief; compose background scores for films (typically 60-120 minutes of original music per film); collaborate with lyricists on song lyrics; conduct music recording sessions with singers, orchestras, and session musicians; manage music production using DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live); coordinate with sound engineers and mixing/mastering studios; oversee final music delivery to film/OTT producer; manage music royalty registration and rights administration.
