Overview
School Principals (also called Heads, Heads of School, or Directors of Schools) lead K-12 institutions — managing teachers, curriculum, student welfare, parent relations, and school finances. The role spans government schools (state DOE, KVS, NVS), private schools (DPS, Modern School, Sanskriti, Vasant Valley, Heritage, Pathways, Riverside School), international schools (IB / Cambridge curriculum schools), and the growing affordable-private-school segment. India's NEP 2020 implementation, expanding private school chains, and growing international schools drive sustained demand. Top-tier principal roles command ₹20-50+ lakh CTC.
