Overview
Dermatologists diagnose and treat conditions of skin, hair, and nails — acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, vitiligo, alopecia — plus cosmetic procedures (Botox, fillers, laser hair removal, chemical peels). India's dermatology market has boomed with the rise of medical aesthetics (Kaya Clinics, Oliva, Cocoo Skin, Ambrosia Aesthetics) plus traditional medical demand for skin conditions across all age groups. The pathway is competitive — MBBS then NEET PG then MD Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL) is among the highest-cutoff specialties.
