Overview
Registered nurses (RNs) are the largest healthcare workforce in India and globally. India trains 200,000+ nursing graduates annually but faces a structural shortage in tier-2 / tier-3 cities and government hospitals. Employment spans corporate hospital chains (Apollo, Fortis, Manipal, Max), government hospitals (AIIMS, state secretariats), home healthcare, telehealth, and the very large international migration market (UK NHS, German hospitals, Gulf countries) which absorbs 30,000+ Indian nurses annually at multiples of domestic pay.
