Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) is a government medical institute in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, established by the state government. The Uttar Pradesh government approved its upgrade in September 2004, and it was registered as an independent super-specialty medical teaching institution on November 4, 2006. The institute was affiliated with King George's Medical University (KGMU) until 2018, when the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences Act gave it independent, degree-granting state university status. It now runs its own MBBS, postgraduate (MD/MS), super-specialty (DM/MCh), B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nuclear Medicine, and Ph.D. programs, along with an attached teaching hospital, on its campus in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar.

RMLIMS has submitted data to NIRF's Medical category for 2023, 2024, and 2025, but NIRF's Medical category only publishes numeric ranks and scores for its top 50 institutes each year, and RMLIMS does not appear in the published top 50 for any of those years. No verified numeric NIRF rank or score can be reported.
RMLIMS maintains separate hostels for men and women. First-year hostel charges are Rs 20,700 total for the men's hostel (triple-occupancy, with an air-conditioned option at extra cost) and Rs 8,700 total for the women's hostel (triple-occupancy).
Since a 2018 state notification, RMLIMS confers its own degrees rather than depending on an external affiliating university, a status few standalone government medical colleges in UP hold.
MBBS admission runs through NEET-UG with 200 total seats, 30 filled via the All India Quota (MCC) and 170 via Uttar Pradesh state counselling (DGME UP).
The campus hospital covers 40-plus clinical, pre-clinical, and para-clinical departments including Cardiology, Nephrology, Urology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Oncology, with 24x7 emergency and trauma care.
The Departments of Pathology and Microbiology function as the State Referral Centre for Laboratory Investigations, and the institute serves as a referral centre for oncology care for Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
